Old Kontakt 6 instances coming up as Kontakt 7, but mono.

I recently purchased the latest NI Ultimate, which apparently didn't include Kontakt 6. When I open an older project that was using '6 instances, it appears DP is using Kontakt 7 instead, but the output's mono in the VI's default/first output. I can open an instance, and Kontakt 7 is internally routed to 2 outputs, but on the DP mixer, it's mono. All other outputs come up correctly.

OH--and I get the same number of error messages (Mas, 1 error reported by Mas Audio Unit support Failure: Initialize 275 -10868) as I had instances of old Kontakt 6 instruments.

I've flushed all preferences.

I need to update my system profile, but it's a Mac Studio M2 running MacOS 14.6

Any suggestions?

Yes, NI released Kontakt 5, then Kontakt(period), then Kontakt 7. I guess the "6" is silent.

Idea: Run Kontakt (6) as AU. Run Kontakt 7 as VST3. Might this help?

Interesting result: Indeed Kontakt 6's are now coming up correctly, but previous instances of Kontakt 7 (AU) instances are coming up as missing, as opposed to being automatically instantiated with their VST3 counterparts. Still, this is an interesting datapoint.
