Drum Sample

I'm looking for drums soundbank but there's so many in the market....

What are you guys using?

Well, what sort of music are you doing? Care to hone it down for us?

You might want to consider one of the soft synth type progs like BFD (for acoustic kits) and Stylus RMX for, well, everything.

I do mostly Rock and pop arrangement so natural drum is what I'm looking for. Some "garage garbage" type sample could be useful. I have M5 so I was more in the "soundbank" kinda search but I heard and read a lot about the fxpension and stylus RMX VI.

I assume there's sample in the website...

Check out BFD at fxpansion.com - there are audio examples.

Also BFD has an add on pack called '8-bit kit' with 'trashy' drum sounds, beat up drums, detuned, chains on kick drums, bits of metal etc and with optional 8-bitness, too.

I would second BFD... the interface is wonderful, and the ability to adjust the close mics, overheads, room and pzm mics really pulls the sound together in a realistic mixing fashion (talking with my mixing hat on).

Also I use it with an Akai MPD16 pad unit, and the variety of hits on each pad/drum is great. Highly realistic and recommended.

You guys convienced me! I will go for the BFD!

The sample sound pretty good on the website and the demonstration from the creater show how much I can do with the mics to make it sound the way I hear it.

And it's not too expensive!!

.....and a decent dedicated HD for data

but all this quite justified by the sound.

So BFD is hard on CPU and/or RAM?

I have a PB 1.25 and I was planning upgrading it with a faster internal HD and maxing up the RAM. I run with 1GB. I keep my library on a seperate drive.
