Hello there,
I've started a new project and am having crashes.
Selecting a Movie file (.mov) instantly crashes DP. Not doing anything unusual, and these are movie files that in some cases I've used to sketch with previously.
Specs
DP version 11.23 94219
Mac OS 13.6.1 Ventura
16 core, lots and lots of RAM (Activity Monitor shows, in aggregate, 53 GB of RAM used out of over 300)
VE Pro server standalone v7.3.3388
Only somewhat unusual thing (for me) is that I the project has 10 Chunks (using, of course, one at a time). None of them is particularly huge, however, and the entire project file is less than 400 MB.
Is this a new incompatibility (maybe with Ventura)? Or is there a new format one has to use for movies (like DV or something)?
Thank you
assigning movie (shift V) crashes DP v11.23

Re: assigning movie (shift V) crashes DP v11.23
Hi John.
Just opened an MPEG-4 movie no problem in the audio-only project I currently have open.
Don't have a .mov file around to try.
I'm DP11.22/Ventura on Apple Silicon.

Thank you -- I'll try converting.

Couldn't readily convert from QT but I tried it with an MP4 file and it's fine, notwithstanding the fact that the MP4 file is at 44.1 and I'm at 48k
Pretty surprised that it's not working with a .MOV file however. The .MOV file is at 48k.
Hmm.
