Hi, I have 16” 2019 MacBook Pro running MacOS 11.2 Big Sur
(2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 16 GB RAM)
The finder in Big Sur seems to be broken. A lot of files I pull up in a search have the wrong names and/or are missing. I have done a lot of things to try and fix this but haven’t had any luck getting the finder to work properly again.
What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks, Fred
PS. It's still taking DP a long time to open on this comp as well.

If you really think it's the MacOS—and it could be, you can reinstall it by booting into the Recovery Partition and going to Reinstall MacOS.
Shut down. Boot holding the Command r keys and log in when prompted.
Do not do Internet Recovery (Option Command r) as that will wipe your drive and reinstall the OS that shipped with your Mac.

Re: Big Sur MacOS 11.2 Finder issue
I upgraded to MacOs Monterey it fixed the finder issue.
I just upgraded to the new version of DP, and DP is opening much faster and playing nice so far!
Thanks again Mike for your help!
