Sounds like that might be a good topic elsewhere in the forum.
For me, I like a lot of the UA stuff, which is one of the reasons I don't regret purchasing the TB3 Satellite OCTO shortly after I bought my Mac Studio. I like their 480L and also Hitsville Reverb Chambers is great. The latter is available native as a UADx plug.
So many... I know LiquidSonics' Seventh Heaven (they also make Seventh Heave Professional)and Tai Chi Lite (they also have more expensive Tai Chi) get a lot of love. So many... I'm such a reverb hoarder... I have too many.
What are your favorite reverb plugins?

If BobK doesn't mind, I'm starting a new topic from something that came up OT in a different thread. To get the ball rolling below was a post from that thread:

Just to add to this discussion, I just found this video on YouTube. It reminded me that BABY Audio Crystaline is pretty nice too. Although I think I got it on sale. It's $99 right now.
There is a free demo.

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?
Favorite? A few churches I’ve worked in over the years but the Lutheran church by the Apple HQ is too noisy. I really liked the reverb module included with Ozone 5 —especially Room and Hall but that’s long gone.
Nowadays, for a natural room, from a recital room to a good sized church, the Eventide SP2016 is my go to. Weird since it’s an emulation of an old hardware unit. They put it on sale now and then. BlackHole for special effects and UltraReverb are also very nice. I got Tverb as a freebie and have never used it.

Other than that, the PSP Springbox on guitars

UVI Sparkverb

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?
FWIW: I do acoustic music and my most-used settings in Altiverb are small-ish rooms or studios for drum/percussion ambience and medium halls for everything else. The halls include convolutions of actual rooms and sometimes the 480.
I don't mind Altiverb's limited controls - I don't need to tweak a lot or get fancy effects. Most of the time, I can find a preset quickly and all I have to do is maybe slightly adjust the size and EQ, and done!
I also have:
Eventide SP2016 and UltraReverb
PSP 2445EMT
Valhalla Plate
Soundtoys Little Plate
I have a couple of Exponential Audio reverbs that I think are toast since they were bought by iZotope.

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?
The last that I've read about these is that Stratus, Stratus 3D, Symphony and Symphony 3D are AS Native plus this:
plus izotope's branded Neoverb and Neoverb Pro as of v. 1.30. I've used this a few times — not bad at all.PhoenixVerb, PhoenixVerb Surround and Nimbus presets can be opened in Stratus 3D.
R2, R2 Surround and R4 presets can be opened in Symphony 3D.

I have Phoenix and R2. Haven't used them enough to justify buying the replacements, and would also rather not give my business to iZotope if I can avoid it.mikehalloran wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 6:23 pmThe last that I've read about these is that Stratus, Stratus 3D, Symphony and Symphony 3D are AS Native plus this:

I like MOTU's Proverb the best. Far less CPU than algorithmic verbs.

Good point! Proverb is actually pretty underappreciated.

Ahhhh... that's good one!! Waves, right? My only gripe about it is the CPU hit is pretty big!

Klevgrand Rum has become the one I use when I just want to add a bit of room ambience to a dry source. I don't even create a send for it -- just insert it on the channel. Good company too; I have a bunch of their plugins.

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?
I miss much my Lexicon LXP plugin!!! (not available in Monterey)
I don't know if it will ever be updated. Any good rumour appreciated.
IMOE, Lexicon LXP has been a very good combo with Motu Proverb.
Need transparency: LXP hall (algorithmic).
Need some meat: Proverb hall (convolution).

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?
I generally reach for convolution reverbs-- and have a nice little collection of IRs from various sources.
https://www.audiothing.net/effects/fog-convolver/
For algorithmic reverbs, these two are pretty recent for me, so I haven't used them much in projects (which are few and far between). I really love Fractal's reverb, but it's not AS Native (yet?).

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?
I just found that TC Electronic makes plugins based on their System 6000 hardware unit, including the VSS3 and VSS4 reverbs. I heard system 6000 reverb in a studio once and (not surprisingly) it sounded great. So I'll check these out. Apple Silicon native versions aren't available yet, though.
Anybody here use them?

Yeah. I have a bone to pick with TC. They’re really way behind on Apple Silicon support.BobK wrote:Apple Silicon native versions aren't available yet, though.
