Plug-in Updates Sticky Topic

I'm creating a new sticky topic. It seems a lot of developers release "silent" plug-in updates without sending out an email to users. It's become a habit of mine every time I boot up my Studio Mac to check the various developer download apps or websites and sniff around for new updates.

So this topic is meant to share with other users when we've learned of an update... especially one that hasn't been widely reported or publicized by the developer.

Big Clipper 2 was recently updated to version 2.0.8.

The Hoser XT was also updated to version 2.0.8

I don't know if this would be considered under the radar? but Vienna Ensemble Pro finally got updated to Apple Silicon just a few days ago.

There was a recent UADx update that seems to coincide with the release of Manley Tube Preamp and VoxBox for UADx. It also installs some sort of system extension update as well. Just a word of warning though... I had a bumpy ride getting the plugs to all get through DP's "Gathering Info" process, but eventually made it through.

This is a great idea and helpful thread.

It also highlights how I have virtually no workflow or process for checking/updating plugins VI's. Some developers have managers, so I can run those periodically. For others, I can go to the retailer website like plugin boutique. But the more challenging ones will be the individual developer sites. I'll try to sign on to more of them for email notices.

I've procrastinated making a spreadsheet of all my VI's and plugins-- but that might help me track which ones I can retire, which ones to update, and which ones to vet.

I’d assume anyone using PSP gets the emails on update, but if opted out, note that there are frequent updates, at least a couple a month, almost all worth installing.

Update Available: Ozone Imager 2 updates from version 2.1.0 to 2.2.0 in iZotope Product Portal.

Most significant is it updates AAX to Apple Silicon native.

Not all of these notices will apply to everyone. Looks like Pluralis is at 1.2. I was back on v.1.0

Boz Digital's +10db Compressor/Equalizer was quietly updated from v.2.0.8 to v.2.0.9

Plugin Alliance pushed out a few updates. These are just the ones that I own that know about. YMMV. I don't know what these add as far as VST, VST3 and AU, but if you also have Pro Tools, the AAX versions of the following are now Apple Silicon native (or more technically correct, Universal Binary 2 - UB2).

bx_masterdesk Pro from v.1.0.0 to v.1.1.0
bx_Meter from v.1.16.2 to v.1.17.0
bx_Oberhausen v.1.5.1 to v.1.6.0
Knifonium v.1.3.1 to v.1.4.0
