Am I missing something?
1) To selection, add VCA Track and Group.
2) Adjust Volume
3) Delete same VCA track and select 'RETAIN'.
4) Seems fine and retains volume
5) Then close project and reopen
6) All volumes reset to pre VCA Track and Group values

Re: VCA Track and group not retaining volumes after reopening project
Is there some volume automation data on the tracks?

Should automation data enabled or disabled ?
Only a Tele is good enough !!!

Depends on whether you have automation information in the tracks you want to be used in the mix. If not, turn off Automation in the mixer channel strip, or in Automation Setup. If you do have automation data, especially in the VCA strip, chances are it is affecting the volume levels.

Re: VCA Track and group not retaining volumes after reopening project
I rarely use automation (I find it quicker to use different tracks for different sections if they need special treatment, and for MIDI based tracks I already have fine-tuned everything pre-rendering), yet I experienced this problem shortly after VCA Groups were introduced, and reported it at the time.
Was that early DP 11, or DP 10? At any rate, I am in the middle of a DP 11.22 upgrade at the moment, right after having finally gone to Ventura, so we shall see if this is now fixed, at least when there's no automation.
