I would make a couple suggestions, since Windows 11 is not in wide distribution yet. Is this the GA version of Windows 11 or a Beta? If Beta, I would expect those issues to get ironed out in the coming months by both Microsoft and MOTU. If GA, MOTU will probably post a new driver, if there is an issue, in a few weeks.
In the between time, I would try the following.
1) Unplug the M4
2) Fully shutdown - no sleep, hibernate or whatever they call it now; then boot up.
3) Reinstall the MOTU driver (just run the MOTU driver installer again)
4) Full Reboot ('Restart' or 'Shutdown and boot up')
5) Full Reboot ('Restart' or 'Shutdown and boot up')
6) Plugin the the M4 and see what happens.
Windows needs about 2-3 reboots to 'fully absorb significant configuration changes'. More if you did a Win 10 to Win 11 upgrade and not a clean install.
If there are still issues, I would file a TechLink with MOTU. You can describe what is happening and what you did to attempt to resolve. In addition, you can upload your screenshot there.
I had the same problem with a laptop asus TP412 win11
I already updated the motu M4 v2022.2 firmware, it was better, but still had some audio artifacts.
After updating the intel IRST chipset driver from asus support, the M4 is perfect, like connected to my old win10 surface book laptop.
