Loaded a project done on my old system and had huge processor spike. Tried all sorts of things trying to track it down. I was hearing crackles and the the Audio Performance meter was running very very high on a Mac Studio and it was not a big project AT ALL. Finally tracked it down to an instance of the old Lexicon MPX Native Reverb plugin on an aux track. Deleting that instance eliminated any spiking and dropped the Audio Performance meter way down to where it should have been.
Just a heads up in case any of you are out there using these older Lexicon plugs with M1 Macs. I haven't had a chance to experiment more... but if you're getting some weird overloads, note that this plug, at least for me, is not playing nice with DP 11.11.

Looking on the Lexicon site, it seems they are Intel compatible only. No mention of M1 versions yet.

Exactly. They’re not native although I’ve been using a number of non M1 plugs in DP without issue. Until more of my plugs become native, it’s just not practical for me to run only native plugs yet.RROY wrote:Looking on the Lexicon site, it seems they are Intel compatible only. There’s just something funky with MPX Native. I only discovered the issue because I opened an old project that happened to have an instance of it on a track. I’ve since disabled it in DP’s Audio Plug-in prefs so should I load another old project that has an instance in it, it will just give me the missing plug alert.
