Re: Lost audio input after DP 11.1 update
If none of those things worked for you out there, and all your settings are correct but still no audio being monitored here is the easy fix.
1. Have a track open in dp and your Motu interface on.
2. Trun off your Motu interface
3. You get a notification saying no audio device do you want to use just MIDI or continue,(don’t choose anything yet.)
4. Turn on your interface and wait till you see it reconnect and take over control of your audio, now hit continue.
5. After you hit continue, the Motu audio driver has been reset and your audio should be back to being monitored. This problem occurred because the system at one point lost a connection to the interface and then you closed dp before restoring all of its function, to fix it you have to make the interface lose connection while dp is on then regain connection while dp is on, that means turning it off and on.

Thank you for the light! Such simple thing but I couldn't figure it out...James Steele wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 8:15 am Try going to System Settings / Security and Privacy and make sure DP is set to be able to use the Microphone. I just saw a DP user post that on Facebook.

I lost an hour with a client sitting there... should have just gone back to .4... cost me $100 bucks. No place to send the back charge invoice. hey maybe that is a good idea. Send backcharge invoice to MOTU, UAD, Apple and then write off as bad debt on taxes. Then those 3 companies will cancel me... hahaha

Re: Lost audio input after DP 11.1 update
James' tip worked for me too after spending lots of time trying to figure this out thinking it had to do with daisy chaining two 896s.
The worst part is that I actively turned off the microphone thinking it was regarding the on board microphone of the computer (if there is one).
Please mark this as resolved.
Thank you, James!

Dang, wish I’d found this earlier. Lost an hour with a client, went back to the old computer. Weird thing is dp11 and a new M1 MBP has given me no problems using Dante input.

Thanks James! Was running into this on version 10. After changing buffer settings or even just by itself after 10 minutes or so, I would lose audio input. The MIC setting was the trick.

Catching up on old threads. Yeah... the "microphone thing" is now widely known, thankfully. Glad this helped some folks!
