DP 11.1 Crashes then does not allow recording

So I've had this up for a few days, perhaps a couple of days after it was released. And today I was not able to record audio using my Symphony II I/O. I spend the better part of 90 minutes just trying to figure out what could be going on... finally decided to email Apogee and described the problem.

Then for the heck of it, I opened Version 11.04 which is still on my system and it worked fine. Was able to record audio just like nothing had happened.

I decided to go back to version 11.1 and the same thing happened, not able to record although the Symphony was active and I could play previously recorded files. Just nothing new happening.

Curiously enough, when I open 11.1 it crashes. Then I open again to get it to stay open.

This is a common problem people are reporting. Try going to System Settings / Security and Privacy and make sure DP 11.1 is set to be able to use the Microphone. That will probably allow you to record.

I see what you mean, when I went to Settings it shows that Digital Performer 11.04 not checked. I checked it. But for some reason it did not show Digital 11.1. Shouldn't 11.04 have gotten replaced when I did the upgrade?

Also, after checking the box DP 11.04, I opened my project into DP 11.1 and the record ability worked fine. Thanks for the help. btw: Apogee responded yesterday with the same solution. Still don't know why Settings says DP 11.04 for the Microphone.
