Good economical compressor?
I have Uad-1 cards and love the compressors but on some larger mixes,I simply can't use UA compressors on all tracks. I've toyed with the DP compressors but find them distasteful. I'm looking for a good/economicaly priced compressor for basic use on most trakcs. What are your favorites?
Thanks,
Rainmaker

http://www.wavearts.com/ makes the TrackPlug (compressor and 10 band EQ): very cpu and wallet$ efficient.
It' also comes bundled as PowerCouple and Power Suite.
Very transparent.
Check it out.

PSP Vintage Warmer and Mixpack...............not transparent, but colored in a good way. Great complements to the UAD plugs.
Re: Good economical compressor?
Yeah, PSP stuff plus WaveArt stuff. A good combo.

The WaveArts stuff is good for transparent adjustments (sort of like boiled spaghetti).
PSP stuff is like adding olive oil and garlic: desirable coloration!!!
