Ultralite 5 - Are the In/Out signals all Analogue?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere - if I have outboard gear attached to the MOTU In/Outs is the routing between them all analogue? Is CueMix just a software interface to allow digital control of the analogue paths? Or is every signal in converted to digital and then back again to analogue to go out? I'm just wondering if my analogue chain is purely analogue until I hit record in Logic? Or do I need to use a patch bay to physically connect the outboard gear before it runs into the AD converters in the Ultralite?

almost certain it's all digital. only the gain part would be analog, it's then converted to be mixed and/or to apply eq/comp.
