punch in audio

punch in audio

when I punch in and out record the track is muted I need to hear up to the punch in point for cuing. What am I doing wrong?Thanks

DP 4.5 manual page 32 (2nd the the last paragraph on the bottom right) and 211, last paragraph.

Are you saying he is in Vegas? Maybe I should go look for him. I think he was in that stripper place last I heard. I'll just go hide by the bar and those "ropey looking ladies..." :) Rope, pole... whatever <hiccup!>

I yam here yes I have the DP4 manual and I have followed instructions on page 199 top left of page I bought a vowel and I still don't hear the track I am recording on up to the punch in point. Bang zoom Alice

Is the OVERDUB button engaged?

Anyone also wishing to purchase a vowel is invited to make an appointment with the gentleman pictured below.
He is a qualified Vowel Salesman specializing in A, I and U. He says there's not much call for the others, but he does
keep a few in stock just in case. Good thinking!

OK, dead horse time... the thing about DP manuals is you can buy an after market manual for about 35 bucks...

Aha! found the problem, Setup dropdown in the Configure Audio
System >Input monitoring Mode, under, Monitor the inputs of record enabled tracks, and hitting Only during recording (and punch in) button was it. Thanks for your time and artwork, George Melee rules!
