Link Ultralight Mk5 to 828 Mkii via ADAT on M1 Mac?

Hi there,

I am planning to upgrade to an M1 Mac, and as such, I imagine my Motu 828 MkII will no longer be usable. I am looking at the Ultralight 5 as a replacement option, but don't like the idea of reducing my line ins and outs. I currently have a USB 828 mkii linked to a firewire 828 mkii via ADAT. Would I be able to link my USB 828 to the ultralight to give me more ins and outs? Or are they not compatible? and would both units have to be compatible with the M1 Mac for this to work?
