Legacy Motu Repairs

Post by Templeisland »

Hello everyone,

I have 2 older Motu 24/io units in need of repair.
Anybody out there do repairs on legacy models?

Thank you!

Not that I’ve ever heard.

Except for a few proprietary ICs, the circuit board and case, everything inside is off the shelf from Mouser or another of the big electronics warehouses. Google is your friend. Look for MOTU and the symptoms — narrowing it down to the exact unit you have will cause you to miss threads that might help. If you have a good idea what the problem is and what parts will fix it, this will save money—even if you don’t do the work (my guy charges $175 hr.).

If you tell us what’s wrong, someone might be able to point you in the right direction.
