8Pre-ES: Help learning routing matrix

HI
new to the 8Pre-ES and trying to setup my work space for teaching (Zoom) and DAW. I need to learn/better understand the routing layout.

IM trying to get my Zoom audio (on the Mac) to ONLY route to the monitor/Phones 1-2 jack, while my 8Pre (Input) only plays from my MAIN OUTS 1-2
(I hope that makes sense)

Any direction/links greatly appreciated

I guess im mainly curious about how to route the computer 1-2 (zoom, logic, app audio) to the phone jacks (1-2. 3-4) without it being in the 'main out' 1-2 which im using as a local mixer for instruments to the main out monitors.

I think I need to use/learn aux mixing to get it where I need it. But definitely will use the 8Pre-ES in "interface+mixer'' mode.

I think my main hurdle was grasping the fact that there a "console mixer" inside the interface and the routing matrix I just a patchbay. getting to mixer tab was my ah-ha moment. having the manual was ok but using MOTU's https://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/avbrouting was the ticket!
