Mighty Mouse Scrolling Issue

While it's not my all time favorite mouse, I do like the right click and the scrolling button.

All of a sudden, the mouse will let me scroll (if scroll bars are visible) left and right and up, but not down!

I've restarted the computer, unplugged and plugged back in the mouse (which is attached to the keyboard which is directly connected to the first USB port on the back of the Mac)

I'm running 10.3.7 so I'm aware of the limitations that that imposes, but it's been working fine until just a few minutes ago.

Any ideas?

UPDATE:

Mighty Mouse has a 1 year warranty so I'm exchanging it...definitetly defective...didn't work on my daughter's G5, either.
