I bought a sample CD online yesterday to replace a missing disc on one I already owned. The download was a .iso file, which, when opened, gave me three folders (for the 3 CDs), which each contain a .bin and a .cue file. Neither Archive Utility, The Unarchiver, or Stuffit Expander will open these (they all tell me the files are either invalid or unsupported).
From what I can find on the web, these are PeeCee-only formats. I haven't found any Mac software that says they an open these, though a few posts say you can do it with Toast, which I don't own and don't really want to buy right now. I found a couple command line routines that say they work, though I'm a little hesitant to open terminal. Haven't gotten any support from the seller (yet).
Does anyone know a way to unpack these compressed formats?
Does anyone know how to extract a .bin/.cue archive on a Mac?

.iso is not a compression format.
Usually, double-clicking on a .bin file will cause it to open. If not, download The Unarchiver or Stuffit Expander. There are others but these are pretty reliable. I would avoid Keka.app and WinZip.

Just a random idea. I wonder if the .iso is a CD disk image that some version of disk utility could restore/mount.

Yep. It's one of three ways supported by the MacOS.stubbsonic wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 9:25 am Just a random idea. I wonder if the .iso is a CD disk image that some version of disk utility could restore/mount.

None of those options are working with this bin/cue.
