Clear History -- Read the fine print ...

Beware of the Clear History command in Safari. I stupidly thought it just removed the list of URLs you've visited. Instead it performs a full frontal lobotomy, so every site (even this one) treats you like you've never been there before. And if you've ever turned 2 factor authorization on for anything, you have to go through all that again too.

I had the same thing happen to my yesterday — but over Chrome and I had not cleared anything. What a PIA!
