828 mk3 FW not connection to 5,1 Mac Pro OS 10.14.6

I recently upgraded my OS from 10.13.6 to 10.14.6.

Since then, the mac intermittently fails to connect with my 828.

'I get the launch when available' msg, but the 828 is not on the menu.

To get it up and running, I have to re-install the 828 driver Audio Installer 1.6 (73220), sometimes more than once.

I am planning on upgrading my DP to 11, but will it work with my 828 mk3 FW ?

You’re running old drivers. Install the latest driver for Catalina—solves a lot of problems in HS & Mojave. 1.6.83634

Follow these instructions within 30 minutes (replacing older drivers, it may or may not apply but you need to check)

If you’re connecting through a FW hub or daisy-chain, bypass and connect directly. Burnish the cable ends by disconnecting and re-connecting each end 3 times.

DP 11 will not be an issue with your 828. If you still have issues, it will be something else.
