LFO (xfer records) for sidechain

Post by Dcb1234 »

I want use a LFO tool for sidechaining, controlling the bass using the bass drum. I can find instructions for Ableton, https://cymatics.fm/blogs/production/yo ... n-lfo-tool. , however not for dp. I do not know the equivalent of an external Instrument when using dp. Could someone point me in the right direction.
With thanks. David

Suggest Google "side chaining in digital performer" and you should be good to go.

Hi,

For Lfo Tool, you do not need any fancy routing.
Just inert it as an audio effect on the instrument track and you are good to go.

The link in the article had a typo. Here's the link:

https://xferrecords.com/products/lfo-tool

Does the LFO Tool have a one-shot mode (i.e., a level-triggered envelope) to generate a CC envelope? Looks like an interesting tool.

Their Cthulhu is a clever tool as well.
M1 MBP; OS 15.3, FF800, DP 11.33, PC3K7, K2661, iPad6, Godin XTSA (w/ SY-1000), 2 Ibanez 5-string basses (1 fretted, 1 fretless), FX galore
