HELP ! - M4 Not recognized after security update Mac

Post by Mark Salore »

I just installed :
macOS Mojave Security Update 2021-002:

Version: 10.14.6
Source: Apple
Install Date: 3/12/21, 6:15 PM

My M4 does does not show any input signal when playing though the input, and it will not play any sound through DP10 although it shows it connected in hardware setup

First do a Safe Boot in case any paths were corrupted. Shut down, boot with the Shift key held down. Log in when prompted. When your desktop icons have finished rebuilding, reboot. If you can't do this, let us know.

Core Audio or MOTU drivers?

If MOTU drivers, reinstall them and do this within 30 minutes

Reboot.

If Core Audio, with the unit on, do you see the M4 in System Preferences/Sound? You should.
