Switching among chunks and the MIDI editor

Post by daerp1 »

A new problem (for me): I have a project with 14 chunks. If using the tracks window, switching is trouble free, but when I switch to the MIDI tab a different chunk pops up. The only solution is go back to the tracks window, select the correct chunk and try again. Sometimes things work as expected, and sometimes the same problem occurs. Is this a known issue/bug?

Thanks,
I read the thread and am none the wiser unfortunately. But it was worthwhile checking my DP preferences. Everything appears to be in order, but the problem still exists and because it is intermittent, I can't help think this is a bug. Someone suggested sending the project to MOTU via a tech link. I guess that is my next step.

Someday my work day will not be interrupted by software glitches (Digital Performer included, because I also experience unexpected behaviours from Vienna Ensemble Pro 7. (Crashes or windows not behaving in expected ways). When I say expected, I should be clear that I am not a novice who is just figuring this out a month or two in. I've been using DP since the 1980s and I think I know my way around (not that there aren't things to learn - its complex, deep software capable of so much. It seems to react unexpectedly when projects are complicated or quite large.

Ah well. Thanks for the help. Onwards and sideways.
