UAD Plugins (VST2) show 3 plugin instances each when choosing for a Mono Audio Track

Post by rp88.2 »

Hi:

I am not sure if this is a bug, operator error or 'that's just the way it is'... I am using a few UAD plugins and I noticed that when I go to choose a specific plugin on a mono track (DP 10.13), I see 3 versions of it - 2 mono and 1 stereo -> mono.

As some of you may know, when you install UAD plugins, they install stereo versions in the top-level directory and then there is a 'mono' directory with mono versions. This is for both AUs and VST2s.

In Logic, when I use a mono track, I see 1 mono and 1 stereo -> mono of the specific plugin.

Yes, my primary plugin format is VST, since I try to share projects between macOS and Windows.

Thoughts? Ideas? Wisdom?

Thank you!
