All Data dissappeared, work on other OS drive

Dp has been running great, lots plugins and virtual instruments. All my track data has disappeared, in all projects running Dp 9.52 on drive w/ high sierra. Disabled all plugins. Cannot add MIDI data to tracks, soundbites are in the soundbite windows but can not add to a track. Opened all projects starting from another drive , Dp9.52 with el capitan and the data is there and can edit. So files are there and work. Reinstalled 3 times, last time after trashing all the motu sys files. Any suggestions appreciated before I go to complete fresh OS install. No, can't get new computer, haven't worked in a year, lol! Thanks

Shut down. Unplug and replug the other drive 3 or more times. If that drive has a removable cable, do it at both ends.

Start back up. See if you still have a problem.

Let us know what happens.

As soon as you get a few $$$, install a 2TB SSD inside that 2011 iMac unless you have one there now. Move all your active files to it. The 2011 is the easiest iMac ever for the DIY.

Replace the NV RAM battery with a CR2032 (very easy on this). You need a magnetized TORX 8 and a toothpick. Suction cups for the glass help but guitar pickks work, too.

If burnishing the cable doesn't work, the external drive may be the problem. Does it mount?

We need all the details you aren't telling us.

In case you haven't guessed, this is not a DP issue.

Could this be a view filter issue (cmd-F)? Is anything deselected?
