Question about chunks and CPU resources

Post by rawrooo »

Does having multiple chunks mean that the not currently selected chunks are adding to the CPU load? Asking specifically about when not using Song mode (I never use it). I couldn't find it in the manual. TIA

No. AFAIK, in normal play mode (not chained or anything), only the currently-enabled chunk uses any CPU power.
Same thing with V-Racks> you can have as many as you like and they won't use CPU until you play-enable them.
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52
Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.
