How to monitor live playing through effects plugins?

This is probably a basic question, but is it possible to hear plugins on a live record enabled track? For example adding a delay plug-in while recording a synth track. I’m using a 828es. Thanks!

Setup>Configure Audio System>Input Monitoring Mode>Monitor Record Enabled Effects Through Effects. Make sure the blue Speaker icon is there in the MON column.
