Hi a bit silly perhaps I wanted to process guitar through a virtual ARP2600. It is only available in an instrument track and not as an insert on an audio track. (I know the plug in itself is capable of using it as I desire because I used it that way in a different DAW (which of course in ReWire mode then loses its VST availability) Argh who should I be mad at? LOL.
Guess I'll open the one program that can do it, import a bounced mix of the rhythm from DP, record the processed guitar and then import that back into DP and hopefully sync em up--seems a little goofy for the cusp of 2021.
Q: a)Is there a better, smarter, cleaner, easier, faster way? b) Why wouldn't MOTU or Arturia allow this?
A: I know, I know---(Q)WHY are you even bothering to DO this at all when you could run the guitar through a million other devices in the 21st century!(A) nostalgia?
Thank you

Try enabling the VST3 version of the ARP 2600 plug. It shows up as a stereo plugin rather than instrument with VST3 version (at least on Windows, don't have access to the Mac right now to verify there). You could probably then route the guitar track to it with a stereo buss. A couple of the Arturia plugs show up this way when using VST3, but I haven't ever used them like that. Maybe just the ones that have audio input capability.
