deleat a plugin from a insert

so?
i have recenlty gone from DP vertion 5 to 10 and i have yet to figure out how to deleat a plugin from a insert on a track?
can anyone offer some help?

Select it and hit the backspace key.
Whoosh!
It's gone.

Right-click and select 'None'.
