I found a thread on this topic in the "tips..." forum, replied, but perhaps because it said "SOLVED" it's not appearing in that forum.
I just switched from DP 7.24 on OS 10.6.8 to DP 10.11 on OS 10.12.6. I am unable to save custom presets for UAD, BBE and Nomad Factory plug-ins. (I have other third party plug-ins I haven't tried yet.) The solution from 2017 was to go to HD/Library/Audio/Presets and add a folder for each manufacturer. It doesn't work. When I go to save a plug-in preset, nothing happens, even though I can save Motu plug-in presets. Any suggestions?

I just did this tonight.
