unable to record

Post by vspiegel »

After recording 1 or 2 sessions, I have to quit DP10 and re-open it to be able to continue recording. Why is this?

What happens after you reboot?

After I restart DP10 I can record once or twice more. Then it stops recording again and I have to restart again. It's not a crash. It's just unresponsive.

I'd try reinstalling. Also kill the plist when DP is NOT running.

I've reinstalled a number of times, especially when the screen turns black and white in the Notation section. What do you mean about the plist?

How much free RAM do you have when this happens? You can check this in the Activity Monitor.

You can search the forum or Google it. It's basic troubleshooting you should know about. Sorry i can't go into it right now.

I had a very embarrassing session a while back....

I was recording into tracks that were bussed to an Aux... eg Kik, Snr, Toms etc .... all being bussed to the Drum bus... and it refused to record!!! .... I got it... finally ... after feeling just about ready to abandon the session!! ( :

I never chased it down exactly ... But perhaps you could set the outputs of the recording tracks back to Stereo if they are set to an Aux output?
