Unidentified MIDI data!!!

Post by dhelpling »

Hey you guys - since I upgraded to Catalina I have been seeing some strange MIDI data in a thin horizontal portion of the MIDI Editing Window. It gets recorded when I record MIDI parts, but appears to be random (isn't always there) and almost looks like HEX code. I have a screen capture image, but I'm not sure how to post it here. I would like to filter this data out or have it not generate the data at all. When zoomed out in the Track Editor I can't tell whether it is actually MIDI notes or not so it gets very misleading. Thanks much!

Sounds like sysex data, David.

Unless you require it for bulk dumps to and from your gear, just disable it using the input filter in DP. Done.

To be sure, open the track in the event list and filter out your basic data. Whatever is left over is your extra data.
