DP 10.11 pasting wierdness on 10.14.6

DP 10.11 pasting wierdness on 10.14.6

I'm finding--at least on one file--that if I grab a selection of data at, say measure 200, and paste it to a measure that doesn't exist yet, like 600, there's a beachball of a wait. Once it has pasted, though, I can undo and redo the action without a delay.

Has anyone else experienced this?
