Komplete Files not Found on New Mac

Post by Todzilla »

Hello,

Forgive me if this is a Native Instruments issue, not a DP issue.

Just migrated to a new Mac (yay!). The HD has a different name, so DP is looking for the instrument plugins using an absolute path OldHDName/Applications/NI when those files are in NewHDName/Applications/NI.

I can go into each project and respecify a location for each VI track, but that's a huge lift. Is there a way to automatically remap these to the new path? Or use an relative path, rather than have DP look in the full path and be vulnerable to HD names?

Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about sample files for Reaktor, Kontakt, Battery etc. ? Use Native Access to change the sample installation path for each of the instruments that use samples.

If you're simply not seeing the VST/AU in DP it's likely that you just copied your HD to the new computer, you will probably have to reinstall, sorry, NI don't make authorizing a new computer easy.

I think you can assign a new path for the instruments in Native Access.

There's no automatic way to just do all at once.

Once you've remapped the first one in Native Access, the rest are easy — still one at a time, though.
