Hi, all -
I have a MIDI issue that is preventing me from purchasing some 3rd party plug-ins.
With MOST VSTs & VST3s on my Mac & DP 10.11, they work fine -- but with a selected few, when I hit a key, the notes don't stop. Every note I hit is added and they do not stop unless I hit the Command+1 to stop all MIDI notes. Or hit the up/down arrow to redirect MIDI to another track & VST. Some times I get the beach ball and have to Force Quit.
I am using an Arturia KeyLab49 Essential hooked up via USB. I am not using the MIDI out of the controller.
Some plug-ins with which this happens: NOVATION V-Station, DS Thorn & Thorn CM, D16 LuSH-101, Unfiltered Audio LION.
All my other plug-ins, including the MOTU-provided ones, work fine. So I think it's something to do with my MIDI controller, but this is happening with just a few different plug-ins from different companies.
Any thoughts or things to check?
Thank you,
Neil

Re: MIDI Issue with some plugins / notes won't stop
If it is only happening with certain VIs, I doubt the issue is your controller.
Have you tried using Audio Units versions of the offending VIs? That's what I use, and I have not run into a VI that hangs as you describe. OTOH,I have not used any of the VIs that you have had trouble with... good luck!
