Track color weirdness
Since upgrading to 10.11, I can't select different hues of the same color anymore. Click on the track color box, and what comes up is a selection of colors from top to bottom... but they're all the same from left to right. Normally those colors would be progressively lighter hues.
I use those shadings of the colors in my track organization, and I miss the feature. Anybody else seeing this?

Re: Track color weirdness
I'm getting the varying hues, but when applied to a track, the hue shows in the Tracks window by the track name, but the data display doesn't get the hue; all of the same color family are identical in the Sequence window Wave/MIDI data display area.Gravity Jim wrote:Since upgrading to 10.11, I can't select different hues of the same color anymore. I just submitted a TechLink with your issue Jim. Mentioned mine, too.

Re: Track color weirdness
Can you edit the color schemes by Opt-clicking the track color? Could this be theme related?

Re: Track color weirdness
I see a few Track Colour Schemes that have some rows with a single shade and some themes like that but for the most part the colour pallets have all the shades and they all work. Perhaps this is something to do with the OS X colour profile in effect, one that limits the bit depth of colours?

Ask, and ye shall receive...Gravity Jim wrote:Thanks, HC. Lemme know if you hear anything.
Watched Matt's video and was thinking it will likely resolve your question Jim, but not mine. My query concerned hues displayed on the little color blocks at the left side of the Tracks and Sequence windows not continuing out into the data display. But, after watching the video, I explored the Track Colors preference, Soundbite Colors, and found I can bring back the subtle difference in hues in the data background that make it way easier to differentiate tracks as I move across my big 4k monitor. Super! Thanks for connecting with us on the matter. Please take a look at the video I made regarding this topic and let me know if this helps.
Best,
Matt

Wow. It really looks like MOTU and their tech support staff are going the extra mile these days. I don't think I've ever gotten a .mov from any tech support before. Way to go! Do I recall that MOTU tried charging for tech support some years ago?
