While the PCIe-424 card may work with the new Mac Pro on a hardware level, I'm afraid MOTU PCI interfaces are not and will not be made compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I doubt MOTU could is even if they wanted to. And it's pretty clear they don't want to.

I can't complain. That MOTU kept these things going as long as they did is what strikes me. I don't see how they could have foreseen what it would take to keep something like the 424 going when the hardware design was set (15 years ago?). Eventually, all of this stuff gets to the point where it is no longer possible to write a driver that works on old equipment and the latest OS. Compared to Tascam and M-Audio, they've done well.

My only complaint with the new Mac Pro so far has to do with Catalina, and that Mojave can't be installed. I don't trust any OSX younger than 10.x.5. I didn't know (although I suspected) I would be locked into Catalina, and I trust Apple will fix their shortcomings later rather than sooner as they usually do.

This caught my eye. Has Apple confirmed this for you?

I thought I read somewhere that it was possible to install Mojave if necessary....
