I'll try to keep this short!
My laptop died in the middle of a client graphics project and I had to replace it immediately. The best option at the time was one of the new 16" MacBook Pro models, which I did with my fingers crossed that Catalina wouldn't prevent me from getting work done.
So far, I haven't run into any show-stoppers while using the Adobe CC Suite. I've had some minor issues with the Finder and in some dialog boxes and I've had to slightly change the way I've done font management.
I'm gradually installing audio software as I get time (including time to check compatibility BEFORE installing). While I haven't done any actual recording projects on this system yet, it appears to be working well when I open older projects and test plugins. Note: I have NOT upgraded to DP10x yet and I have NOT installed DP9x, so my audio testing has been with other DAWs (Logic, Pro Tools, Studio One and DSP-Quattro).
On my older system, I had partitioned the boot drive so I could have a relatively clean system - one for graphics and one for audio. Due to some various things I had read, I was skeptical of doing the same thing with Catalina, so I am installing everything into the same instance of Catalina. So far, no apparent conflicts.
I hope somebody might find this information useful!

I setup my new Korg account and the migration coupons set the price at zero but when i go to check out the site returns a message that says "invalid amount." There's no support page. I'll try responding to the email I got this morning for the new versions... it's always something!

You can download the Korg Software Pass here: https://id.korg.com/static_pages/3
The individual upgrades should be listed in your Korg ID account also.
If you didn't convert your Korguser.net ID to a Korg ID, I think you can still convert from https://korguser.net.
Thank you sooooo much for this! I'm currently transitioning to a brand new Mac Pro. When saw here that Catalina didn't play well with Korg Legacy, I went into hysterics. Luckily, thanks to this info I was able to go through the bizarre and time consuming transition to Korg ID, buy the plugins one at a time, cutting/pasting the coupons in each one so they will be free.. but I'm not complaining, it works perfectly in DP!! :headbang:

And now that I downloaded the M1 plugin from the Korg site, it went into demo mode and I've lost the M1 I paid for. Good job Korg. I use the Wavestation plug a lot and would love to migrate to the new version, but no... and getting support from Korg is virtually impossible. The site has no links to support. I was able to Google to a support page but it doesn't accept the message and goes into a loop asking me to review my email, which it never returns to.

This is amazingly poorly implemented and frankly, quite infuriating. :mumble: :banghead: :smash:

I agree. When I moved from an old iMac to a new Mini, getting M1 and Wavestation installed and working was a huge PITA. I went around in circles from site to site following vague instructions. I eventually got it working, but had no idea what step made the difference. This was with an early version of Mojave, but somewhere in OS X or DP updates, it's stopped working. Doesn't work in Logic, or standalone. I can't be bothered to go back into the morass again. No more Korg stuff for me.

I still have my Wavestation plug working and didn't use the M1 much. NEVER use the MKL or whatever the fuct that is. I'd be tempted to just rebuy the package but if they're not supporting customers, that's a no deal. I'll work around it. If i knew where they kept the authorization I could TimeMachine back to it. I checked the install receipt but couldn't fine anything. I also tried redownloading the old version and reinstalling but the authorization is gone for M1 and demo mode is all it wants to do. Maybe it's also got the virus?

Logic would suggest that solutions could be found at the Kong Forums:

I say this 'cause you'd think that these issues would be commonly-experienced... :?

Thanks Monkey Man. You rock, or at least swing from vines. I heard back from KORG and it's all fixed...

It works. I wish it was a little more obvious on the migration page. Now to order the Wavestat...

From KORG:

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

Do not enter credit card information for free migration products.
You can check out by selecting No Payment Method.
The licenses for KORG Legacy Collection and KORG Collection are separate.
Therefore, installing the latest version from KORG Software Pass will invalidate your previous license.

Best regards,
KORG app team"

Korg now has a sale and upgrade to V2 available. Plugs upgraded to V2 have resizable UIs. Should be a free upgrade to existing LC plugs for most if you've already migrated to the Korg ID and Software Pass. https://www.korg.com/us/products/softwa ... ollection/

If the migration didn't work (see above - it does) it's worth buying the Wavestation and M1 VIs. The new zoom feature is awesome and the manuals (highly recommended) are available free on the Korg site.

All that said, the new-ish Korg Wavestate looks even more awesome than the WSAD (sans the vocoder feature, unfortunately). About $800 and out of stock at Sam Ash for the foreseeable future but available elsewhere.

Papa wants...
