How to uninstall DP.
I'm moving to another computer and have been told I should uninstall DP beforehand. How do I do this?

Deleting the app, preferences, and MAS audio units should do the trick. If you want to get crazy about it, then Secure Empty the trash. Takes a bit longer.

Re: How to uninstall DP.
You do not need to uninstall. The license server activates the last two installations and deactivates anything older. It does this automatically.
Unlike other types of internet authorizations, you never have to de-authorize. In fact, there's no way to do so.

Re: How to uninstall DP.
Hi Mike,
Apologies for the zombie thread but I'm struggling to get my head round this. So, let's say the following:
1. I first of all install DP on my main machine in the studio;
2. I then install it on my work laptop so I can have it with me when travelling;
3. I subsequently replace that laptop with a new one and want to move DP onto it.
If I've got this right, my studio machine will be disabled by the licence server but DP will still be authorised on the laptop that is going to be disposed of, even if I uninstall it!
Can that really be the case?

Re: How to uninstall DP.
Yes — and it doesn’t matter. The last two installations are active; previous installs are not. This is all done automatically — like taking a card off the top of a deck and moving it to the bottom.rwconsultancy wrote:Hi Mike,

It’s not like when I activated my latest iPhone and got a message that my Kindle account had too many devices. I went into my account on Amazon and found 14 devices I no longer owned. Oooops. After deletion, I was good. Then I cleaned out old devices my iTunes account and so on...
