Playback, Memory, and Counter
If I click on "Link Playback to Memory", the Wiper/Counter only appears during playback, and disappears on Stop. Why is this? Was it always like this?

Yes, it was alway like this.
If you click on "Link Selection To Memory" it will be like a PT with three blue buttons pressed.

OK. But why would we want to NOT see the wiper when linking playback to memory?
