Best Bass Library

Post by mythicwave »

Does anyone have any recommendations on a great Bass sample library? I'm looking for Pop, Rock, Jazz, etc. All of the synths I have and the sample libraries just have mediocre sounds - too muffled, not enough dynamics, etc. I'm looking for something with a lot of realism and dynamics.

Thanks,

Brian

There are lots of wonderful libraries out there, I have many of them. But if you really want to get a wide selection of KILLER sounds.... I can't recommend TRILOGY from Spectrasonics enough! Sorry, this isn't a library...but a full softsynth that would run in tandem with MachFive, but absolutely wonderful!
Thank you,

Hi Brad,

Trilogy looks great. Any other less extensive and perhaps less expensive libraries or softsynths you can suggest?

Thanks,

For libraries, I personally favor the ULTRA FREAKIN' BASS. I've not tried converting this into MachFive, I've been using it in GigaStudio. I really like the Sadowsky 4-string and 5-string, as well as the Yamaha Fretless. Here's a link to it:

Spectrasonics Bass Legends is the best I've ever heard.
