I am unable to get any windows audio to play via my 896 hybrid. In Windows sound settings I have MOTU main outputs selected as the audio output. Up until last week, this worked fine. Everything including browser, Winamp, YouTube and Spotify sound went into the 896.
For some reason now, nothing will play via the 896. YouTube on chrome browser defaults to my bad laptop speakers (even though I still have MOTU outputs selected in sound settings) and Spotify just doesn’t want to do anything when I try to play music. Bizarrely, it cycles through all the tracks in an album or playlist, can’t play any and goes dark.
Meanwhile, the 896 works absolutely perfectly with Cubase on the same computer.
Can anyone help with this? I really need to be able to run all windows audio via the 896. I assume this is a Windows 10 problem but I have no idea how to fix it.

Re: No Windows audio
Sounds like a driver problem to me. I dont own an 896, but had the same issue with Ultralite hybrid.
Try to get ot the Sound menu in Win10, select your output -> Properties. In the General tab check everything in. This solved my problem.
