That is huge for me! Fantastic! (Thanks for the report.)
I'm on a deadline to finish a project by tomorrow night, but this weekend I hope to have a much better DP experience!

Confirmed.
Option drag for zooming is not working.
I can use "Z" drag instead to zoom in but "Z" Shift-Click to zoom out is a bit of a stretch.
Yeah. It seems like the Zoom tool can no longer be activated with "Option". A bummer because I use the click-wheel button on my mouse set to Option so I can drag in the timeline to zoom in on it. The click-wheel button can only be set to modifiers unfortunately. ...I'm guessing there's an app out there somewhere that can enhance my mouse so it can again work like I'm accustom to

Plugins in the app package: if you look at package contents, there they are. But they're still in the Plugins folder too. Does this mean I can delete them from the Audio Plugins MAS folder if I don't keep any older versions of DP running?
dado wrote:No way to export a soundbite in other format like AIFF/Mp3.......! Only WAVE format. If I click for other options no reaction!!!
Don't know what you are talking about
Unless you are looking at DP 9 after installing 10 or 10 after reinstalling 9. Whichever version you install last will have limited export capabilities. The last installer run overwrites files with the same name in the shared resources folder — as it has going back to DP 4.x in OS X.
Are you on Catalina?
My MBP is. I can give you that screenshot, too. Spoiler alert: It's the same.
I didn't want to respond till I had checked.

corbo-billy wrote:Since MAS plug-ins have been moved, how are they recognized by an earlier version of D.P. ?
According to my cursory research they’re not. DP 10.01 has no MAS plugins available after installing 10.1(!). Fortunately 10.1 is more stable than .01 so far, so I don’t feel inclined to figure out how to get them back in .01.
Easy. Reinstall 10.01. That will change 10.1, however.
In the shared resources file, whatever you install last overwrites files of the same name. This has been true since DP 4.x in OS X.
At some point, you have to commit to a version.

I can't open the install pkg on my iMac (Catalina). I get this message:
DP101(83521).pkg can't be opened
because Apple cannot check it for malicious
software.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the
developer for more information.
I've emailed MOTU tech support, but may not hear back for several hours.

Not really a problem but an awkward security “feature”. Here’s the workaround.
Open Security & Privacy in System Preferences. You’ll see the installer listed. Click to open anyway. Now the installer will try to open and give you a similar dialog — but now when you click the Open button, it will and install.
Catalina has a number of such traps. One has to figure out how to open each file type.

Do Option + Right and left arrow still work to incrementally zoom in and out? I use that so much, it would probably be a dealbreaker for me if that no longer worked.

Just checking out the new features and the Velocity Tool is rocking my world.
So cool to have a better graphic handle on those MIDI velocities...
Thumbs up!

Yes, those still work.
You could also assign other commands to do that.
Very flexible command assignments.
Most of what I've assigned in prior versions is still working fine.

Excellent, thanks for that. I have the Z key reassigned but I can deal with that, the zoom one was the biggie for me.

Phil, are you suggesting that I will need to rebuild my huge templates in order to use VCA's?
Terry
No I'm suggesting that VCAs are still unusable (at least on my system). When I filed a tech link, MOTU acknowledged that this was a bug, but didn't say whether it was system specific or not. I know it's a bug, but I don't know if it's across the board. I was hoping it would be fixed in this update but not yet.

This is "good" news. I decided not to really use VCA faders until they were fixed, so it sounds like and issue that's oddly persistent with older projects, but won't be one for new ones.
Re-read that sentence. "...the bug remains."
