Right now Clips are pretty much an afterthought in DP10, you can only record audio from them to a bus etc. In Lite Clips are recordable to the Sequence Editor. The resulting MIDI regions can be edited like Notes are now, plus the region can be edited. I do not know if that includes slicing the MIDI region like audio, and Lite so far has no glue tool.mrgkeys wrote:just skimmed, so I could be missing, the 630 page Performer Lite manual, which is basically copied and pasted from the DP manual, (errors abound) but I didn't really see anything related to MIDI regions, or being able to copy/paste/move or edit any way other than the way we do now..
We will see how this plays out, reports from a guy in Gearslutz suggest that it's not finished per say. A MIDI track with recorded Clips on it just gets a piano roll with the clip regions still visible sitting on top of it. What I would like to see happen is a user selected MIDI. So if you select Notes you get regular MIDI and Clips as MIDI like we know it in the Sequence Editor, and if you select Clips, MIDI regions reappear.
