Edit 2 sequences at the same time (Multiple TO panes in CW)

Post by mgraham »

I'd like to use the Consolidated Window to have two Tracks Overview panes open at the same time - each one editing a different sequence. Does anybody know how to do that?

I'm pretty sure it's possible, because I've accidentally gotten DP into this state before. I'm just wondering how to do it on purpose :D

Have one open, then double click on the other one you want to open in the Chunks list. Only one is active though.
Mac 2.8 8-core, 20 GB RAM, Mac 10.9, DP 8, EWQLSO Platinum Play, Mach V II, Kontakt 5, Superior Drummer, AIR, Absynth 5, Plectrum, CronoX, Albino3, RMV, cup of tea.

Here's one method:
  • Open Tracks pane in the Consolidated window
  • Open Sequence pane below it
  • Select the first sequence in the Tracks pane (using the window target menu)
  • Select the second sequence in the Sequence pane (using the window target menu)
  • Change the Sequence pane to a Tracks pane by clicking on the Tracks tab
Now there are two Tracks panes for two separate sequences.

It works, but it's a lot of clicks!

Oh wow - that was easy!

Thank you! I don't know how I missed that!
