adjust bite volume key command stopped working

a while back (who knows when...1886?) i set key commands to adjust bite volume up and down. they have stopped working. i can still adjust the bite volume in the sound file info window and using the new volume fader in the SE, but why is my key command not working? it is not assigned to anything else, nor is it systemwide - in fact, i changed it in the commands window, and the new command also did not work. ideas?

Very odd. Can you get Bite Volume to show up by the Audio pull-down menu?

good idea - it shows in the menu (with my key bindings shown), and not greyed out - but, it doesn't work from the menu either. it does change volume when i use the new fader in the soundbite, and i can change the volume in the bite info window. i will contact MOTU. very strange.

Also, try the new Run Command maybe (Shift-Space)...though that seems unlikely given it doesn't wrk from the pull-down menu. The dialogue window isn't showing up on an unexpected screen, right? Or on another desktop? I have 4 monitors and 3 desktops. Sometimes things don't appear where I left them.
