DP doesn't "see" presonus studio 1810 interface

I just got a Presonus 1810 USB to replace my NI Complete audio6 which worked fine but i needed a few more inputs.

I selected the 1810 in System Preferences> audio then:

I run Audio MIDI setup and select the 1810 but when I go back to DP the channels are not available just the Built-in audio ins and outs.

I switch back to the NI Komplete and it works fine again.

Any thoughts? I'm stumped.

Go To configure hardware driver in the set up menu and click on it in there and see if that works

Yes it did. i’m such an idiot it’s been years since I’ve had to make all these settings changes.
