Feature requests:shortcuts
It would be really useful to be able to assign a shortcut to Rename Take. You can assign a shortcut to make a new take or delete one, but not to rename. It would also be really useful to have a macro facility that would allow creating sequences of shortcuts, so that, for instance, a single keystroke could create a new take, turn on the click and count-in, and go to the start of the sequence or to a marker. Or to create a new take and bring up the rename window. That sort of thing.

Re: Feature requests:shortcuts
I suppose that every user has a procedure they do often that would be useful to them and a small subset of users. At some point every aspect being subject to a key command would be “helpful.” OTOH, the developer must depend on the user to exert a little energy. Takes are automatically given. New name (number). That’s quite sufficient imo, and I have done as many as 100 takes on my scores with about 80 tracks. Renaming is only applicable to the very best ones and clicking on the take name consumes exactly the same effort as a key stroke would. But that’s just me.

Or same for New Track or Similar Track... a preference would be fine for me.larrytheo wrote:Or to create a new take and bring up the rename window.
I like to have tracks properly named before recording, so audio files reflect track names.

I can't really imagine anything faster than Option-Click on the name as it is now. But I get that some people are 95% keyboard twiddlers, and I respect that.

I agree, but one-stop shopping would be nice when creating new tracks.Prime Mover wrote:I can't really imagine anything faster than Option-Click on the name as it is now.
