Exporting old MOTU Stems

Post by Stigletto »

Hi, I have a large amount of files that I need to export the stems from. These were done in roughly 2004, on (I believe) Digital Performer 3.1. I cannot find the old software for this, so I was wondering if there is someplace or someone that I might pay to recover the stems? Thanks so much, ctf

I think you can open projects going back to the first DP version with the current software. There may be some special cases but I'd at least give it a try.

I have a client that will pay someone (with actual $$) to export the stems from an early project...

The thing is, if the project had all the tracks starting at zero and they were all contiguous, you could convert with a 3rd party app like DSP Quattro or iTunes.

If there are tracks made up of smaller regions, you'd want to open the projects in DP, merge them and export them.
